American National offers a comprehensive benefits program that supports your efforts to maintain a healthy work-life balance: medical, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, retirement benefits, life insurance, disability coverage, wellness programs and more.

When to enroll

Open Enrollment. All employees can enroll and change their benefits during Open Enrollment.

New employees have 31 days from the date of hire to enroll in benefits. Your benefits will take effect the first of the month following your enrollment. 

Any employee who has a qualifying life event can also enroll in benefits during the year.

If you’d prefer to read the detailed materials, or want to print the details in the Benefits Portal:

• Access your Benefits Portal 
• Select the plan year
• Enter your employee ID from your ID badge
• Select your location
• View available benefits

Sign up for your benefits

Once you’ve reviewed the materials, you’re ready to enroll. Get started by logging onto Compass. Click the Compass icon located in the middle section of the hompage on Connect. Then, select Employee Self Service and follow the steps below.

• Click here for step-by-step instructions
• Select My Services
• Select Benefits and Payments
• Choose New Hire Enrollment
• Choose your benefits
• Once you have gone through each selection step, click SAVE
• Print a copy of your choices by going into Benefits Participation Overview
